我感觉这张专辑和gaga的joanne想要表达的内容很相似——很个人化的思想和情感。
专辑中有各种不同的情感表达，对爱人的回忆、对亲人的挂念、对的社会权利问题的声讨都被揉碎到一个词——lover中。在泰勒看来，这些人都是lover，都值得调动自己充沛的情感去写一首歌。
